The SYM VS125 scooter
Just got the new Bolwell VS125 off the truck and was about to register it for myself when client walked in loved the colour (dark grey) and the ride of the scooter so she traded her 100cc Bug Scooter in on the spot and it was back to the drawing board and register another VS125 - this one in black, just in time for our Scooter Ride on Saturday.
Performance
Starting off with only 2 kilometres on the clock I took it easy but was immediately impressed with the scooters ability to handle town / city riding at 60kph. Then it was on to the open road, and surprisingly enough, the nippy VS125 was up to 90 -95 kph without a hesitation. The handling of the scooter is great, very sure footed and stable and with the big front disc brake and rear drum it also stops really well.
Fuel
Fuel economy appears to really be good with maybe 200 kilometres out of a tank possible depending on how it is ridden but we will see later as I still only have 150 kms on her so far.
Features
Two of the best features would have to be the under seat storage, which everyone has commented on being so large for a 125cc scooter, and the headlights, which I gave a workout too on Sunday night and was very impressed as scooters are not generally known for their great headlights and these are good!
The Wrap Up
Overall, an easy scooter to ride with lots of ability in the town, city or on country roads - its two thumbs up for the Bolwell SYM VS125.
