Scooter Newsletter - October 2006

Welcome to our second newsletter! We had some great feedback on the first one and we really appreciated the
response to it. It looks like everyone out there loves their scooters as much as we love ours…
Now to the news (it is a newsletter after all).

Our first scooter ride went off a treat on Saturday 30th September 2006. Scott had a great birthday and Jason at Red on Thomas was very helpful in the arrangements (he also led the scooter ride – which was fantastic – thanks Jason!). We had 7 scooters all up and everyone really enjoyed the ride. We cruised from Scooter Style on Eumundi Road through Tewantin and followed the river along to Gympie Terrace over to Sunshine Beach and a quick run down to the spit via Hastings Street. Then we were back to Red on Thomas for tapas platters and dips – thanks again to Jason. We all sat down, ate nibbles, drank coffee and talked scooters. It was a hoot!

A big hello to John and Colleen, Rae and Michael, Shema, Ian and Inny – thanks for coming along. Glad to see you
enjoying your scooters!

We are planning our next one for either the 18th or 19th of November and will keep you in the loop.

This month we have been pretty busy and stock was getting low… so Scott has put in an order and we are due to have a heap of new stock arrive in – including…

The Euro MX 150 in Red (pictured in blue) – this is one great looking scooter and I cannot wait to see the Red in the flesh…

We have also got Red Devils in Blue, Silver and Black. This is one cool looking 50cc scooter.

The GMAX 150 in Blue/Silver – this is a fantastic looking performance scooter. The Blue/Silver combination is really good looking.

Euro 150cc Bolwell Scooter

Mio Scooter

Shark 50 will be in store with the Red/Silver and Blue/Silver colour
combinations.

Of course, the Jolie 50 in Red and Silver – at $2,195.00 ride away means everyone can enjoy the scooting lifestyle which we all know and love!

And as we know scootering is not just about fun… it is also about looking cool (just ask Andrea or Emma).

The Bolwell Mio 50 is now available in black – you can’t get much cooler than this. I must admit the whole colour range of the Mio’s look fantastic – we have now got yellow (a beautiful soft creamy yellow), black, orange and of course, pink (my personal favourite).

Scooter Style also stocks all your scooting accessory needs – jackets, helmets, gloves, disk locks, wet weather gear (for those rainy days – and tested to fit in you glove box or under seat), oils, batteries, backpacks, top boxes, sunglasses (with elastic strap – keeps out the wind when you are scooting with your open face helmet), visors, and if we don’t have what you are looking for – just ask! We will do our best to source the accessory item you are seeking.

Scooter Style Events!!!!!!!!
Our next actual event will be the Thomas Street Festival on Saturday 28th October 2006. We are setting up a stand this year and as you all know the Thomas Street Festival is always heaps of fun. With food stalls, entertainers, bands, it will be fantastic again this year – please drop in and visit us! I have attached a copy of the flyer for the Thomas Street Festival with all the details – it goes from 4pm to 9pm and we are really looking forward to it.

And keep an eye out for Scooter Style scooters on Hastings Street too… we are not talking about the usual cruising up and down or parking out the front of Aromas, but in Ma Mensa and Mary Ryan’s bookstore! We are taking part in the promotion of the release of the book “Irresistibly Italian” and we are extremely pleased to be involved in this launch.

Some most exciting Scooter News!!!!!!!!
Great news! The Noosa Council has acknowledged that scooters and motorcycles can assist in decreasing pollution and assisting with decreasing the traffic congestion and parking issues which are such a major problem during the holiday seasons in areas such as Hastings Street. The Ordinary Meeting Minutes of the Noosa Council on 4th May 2006 note that they are creating a Motor Scooter/Cycle Strategy Working Group to encourage usage in the area. And this has resulted in this ability for businesses to apply to have scooter and motorcycle parking included in the parking facilities provided for their business. Hopefully this will lead to more scooter and motorcycle parking and a greater awareness of the benefits of scootering!

So until next month – happy scooting! Oh! And please drop in to say hello to us at the Thomas Street Festival on the 28th October 2006!

Andrea & Scott
